We give children joy and happiness!
This sunny day Kyiv Zoo was full of love, joy and children’s smiles. And this is not accidentally as today, June 1, the whole world celebrates International Children’s Day.
In addition to visitors, charitable groups of more than 500 displaced children, children of ATO/ OOC participants and other children from socially disadvantaged families joined the celebration.
Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Marina Honda visited the event to congratulate the young guests.
Together with Kyiv City Center for Assistance to Participants in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and more than 30 volunteers from other social organizations of the city, Kyiv Zoo has conducted dozens of different events with interesting prizes and delicious gifts:
– Sports and entertainment quest for 50 young athletes;
– Competition of coloring pages for 100 young artists;
– Master classes on making eco-packages, jewelry, souvenirs and postcards for more than 200 young artists;
– Braiding and culinary arts for almost 150 students;
– Baby fitness for 30 young participants.
And dances, soap bubbles and other “fun” for more than 100 children.
Also today an exhibition of children’s works was presented in the framework of the joint project with the NCSH “Ohmatdyt” called “Happy animals by children eyes.” Today’s little visitors of Kyiv Zoo were able to join the project. Together, they created a fantastic panel “Happy Zoo”.
And of course, an event of this magnitude could not have taken place without the participation of Acting Director of the Department of Culture Volodymyr Motsyuk and his first deputy – Mykola Shulyak, who were also present at today’s event.
In total more than 1,000 children joined this wonderful event. And we are glad to have the opportunity to give children joy and happiness!
