Thora the turtle
Meet Thora, a 9-year-old yellow-eared slider.
In March, due to the shelling of a residential building in Obolon district of Kyiv, it was thrown out of the window of the 2nd floor by an explosive wave. After flying several tens of meters it fell into the grass and survived.
After the loss of housing, the owners decided to transfer the animal to KyivZoo, where comfortable conditions have been created for it 💚
After a veterinary examination, quarantine and necessary laboratory tests, Thora joined the friendly family of aquatic turtles 🐢 🐢 🐢
It swims in the pool, basks under a lamp on a special island and eats fish 🐟
