Successful operation on an old bear Burya
Many specialists take care of our animals. These are zoologists, zootechnicians, keepers, and, of course, veterinarians 👨⚕👩⚕
These people monitor health and well-being of zoo residents every day. And today the staff of our veterinary clinic performed a successful operation on an old bear.
Last year a small tumor has been noticed on the left hind paw of our 32-year-old Ussuri black bear Burya. Over time, due to the fact that “grandmother” leads a very active lifestyle, this tumor began to bother her. So the specialists decided to perform an operation that lasted about 3 hours.
The “patient” has already recovered from anesthesia and is feeling well. And for additional comfort of movement, our veterinarians did her a wonderful preventive “manicure” 🐻🐾
