The tradition of celebrating Monkey Day appeared in 2000, when the American artist Casey Sorrow jokingly made the second mark on the calendar about such a holiday. Casey’s joke was supported by his friends at the university and they all celebrated the first Monkey Day together. Later, Sorrow and his friend Eric Millikin began to include Monkey Day in their artwork and in the Fetus-X comics, and also began to actively promote the holiday online. Since then, Monkey Day has been celebrated internationally, albeit informally. Today, our monkeys did not go unnoticed and received sweet vitamins for the holiday! Bright edible hedgehogs made of apples, sunflower seeds, raisins, grapes and, of course, bananas appealed to all residents of Primatnik 🙂
